Ui ui is an idea atelier – a creative consultancy focusing on cultural agitation. Best known for its unorthodox live concepts and its pivotal role in catapulting Finnish indie acts from obscurity to widespread acclaim, Ui ui provides a range of creative services, including creative direction (visual campaigns, live events, and scenic design), brand strategy and management, concept development, idea generation, curation, copywriting, and production.

Swim, swim

Ever since I was a child, I've had an urge to create. I wrote and illustrated a children's book at the age of 7, built a Rölli costume out of A4 sheets of paper at 6, wrote a detective novel at 9, and over the years, recorded countless songs for imaginary bands on CDs. The world felt so small that I could cycle around it. On weekend mornings, I would wake up early to watch MTV—some nearby planet was inhabited by pop stars. Absorbing what was happening in popular culture around the globe and curiously observing its impact on me and my surroundings, I developed a sense of what was exciting—and what wasn't.

These days, I assist artists and brands in overcoming their limitations, helping them reach their full potential, crystallize their artistic endeavors, and envision themselves in places they may not dare to imagine. I facilitate the exchange of ideas, aid in establishing their position in the grand scheme of things, help them communicate their unique characteristics, assemble creative teams, and oversee the execution of their projects. In close collaboration with the client, we map out future moves—what we will do, in what order, where, how, with whom, why, and where this all will lead them. We construct the narrative, plan the campaigns, and bring them to fruition.

The small details are crucial: they accumulate. It's about how the brand presents itself, how people perceive it, and how it connects with the moment. How can the brand show its story rather than just telling it? My strengths lie in my taste and sensitivity, my passion and my curiosity, my ability to consider multiple perspectives simultaneously, and my capacity to delve deep into matters with compassion. I view pop stars as if they were fashion houses and music production as though it were graphic design.
